Conventional Farming vs. Sustainable

Conventional farming oxidizes away an inch or more of the peat topsoil a year and uses vast amounts of diesel and chemicals. This method of farming often produce crops that are low value bulk commodities which contribute to the heart disease. By contrast our grass eating pigs build topsoil, need no diesel or chemicals, and are full of delicious high omega-3 fat more like salmon oil than conventional fats. They also love eating the invasive weeds such as the water hyacinth that clogged and closed the port of Stockton a few years ago.

On the Island, they don't poop where they eat, sleep, or wallow. Instead, they go inland to do that and boost the productivity of the plant/soil building system there.
