Pigs Living Off the Land and Community & Green Waste

Land:
Pigs are such a good match for the Delta that there is no need to feed them except for treats for training. The invasive weeds that cost local farmers so much herbicide and aggravation are among their favorite foods.

Community Waste:
We do food redistribution for the local food pantry using stale or damaged food for treats to pay the pigs to tear out blackberries etc.

Green Waste:
Isleton dumps their public works greenwaste here and the neighbor resort blows their wood chipper through a purposeful hole in the fence. The pigs eat the leaves, bark etc and snuffel around in the chips until it composts away. This is local use of greenwaste as required of towns by SB.1383. Unlike conventional mass composting there's no diesel or methane emissions.
